Warrington four-piece Aligners have released their debut single ‘Sixties Hearse’. It’s been on repeat since it was released and we can’t get enough of it so we’ve made it out Track of the Week.
We had a chat with the band to get to know them better…
Who are you?
We are Aligners, a four piece indie rock band
Where are you from?
We are based in Warrington however two of us are from Runcorn, both known for their lovely weather
Describe yourself in three words…
Decided to ask some of our supporters what they reckon, this is what we come up with: Catchy, energetic, relatable
What are your influences?
We all have individual influences ranging from The Eagles to Motown, but as a band we take big inspiration from bands such as Arctic Monkeys and Stereophonics!
What is the highlight of your career so far…
We supported one of the best bands about at the moment, Valeras, at Sound Basement so that was boss but that’s at a tie with Warrington Music Festival last year
What is the worst gig you’ve played?
We once did a gig in Liverpool playing to nobody and our lead guitarist couldn’t get off work so we played as a three piece, not a gig we’d like to remember
If you could create your own gig who would you play with?
Catfish and the Bottlemen would be class to play with as their crowds are always crazy but more locally, we’d love to be on a bill with The K’s!
What’s your karaoke song?
Nathan does Arabella by Arctic Monkeys, which trust me no one needs to watch or listen to!
What’s next for the band?
We are planning another single before the end of the year and we’re hoping to arrange a gig with some local artists after lockdown is over, but until then I think we may do some more live streams
Best three new bands…
We are loving these at the moment:
The Lathums
RATS
The Lotts
