One of my favourite bands and previous guests on our Nobody Talks Anymore podcast, Columbia, has released their new single ‘Where Did It All Go?’. Made up of Alex Sheppard (vocals), Jonny Eccleshall (bass), Tom Comer (guitar), Jay Sweeney (lead guitar) and Jay Culkin (drums) the band have built a cult following of die-hard fans who love their clear Oasis influence with a surprisingly successful Scouse twang.

‘Where Did It All Go?’ is a slower, more emotional song than Columbia’s usual indie anthems. They have managed to pull off the sombre tone brilliantly, whilst still keeping those brilliant lead guitar riffs over the top giving it that edge and excitement that I love from Columbia. It was written before the pandemic, but still holds a significant resemblance to the times we are in and how businesses and nightlife are non-existent. Once everything is reopened and back in full flow I can imagine this song having a special place in Columbia’s live set, a beautifully uniting moment amongst all the chaos.
