Fast rising Scottish band Vistas recently announced the release of their latest album ‘Is This All We Are?’ and have also released the title track as a single; I can honestly say that before I’ve even got to the album, this song has got me excited.
Lying somewhere within the realms of pop and rock music, Vistas start this track with a filtered bass drum and a nice driven guitar riff. A dynamic which builds into a feeling of complete euphoria when the band fully kicks in after the first chorus.
‘Is This All We Are?’ Feels very much like an opening track for a Vistas show, in fact I can almost see myself throwing my pint in the air as the instruments all come in. It just sounds like what a sweaty night in a pit at a gig feels like.
It’s not often I hear a single from an artist and feel completely compelled to listen to the rest of their discography but this time I feel like I have to hear the rest of this album and everything else. Easily one of the best bands I’ve reviewed.
The song is just so catchy and is uplifting in every sense of the word. Absolutely a band to be looking out for at the moment, a band who’ve just become an instant favourite for me.
