Two Year Vacation have released what might be the most light hearted and feel good tracks I’ve heard this year. Even at 6 in the morning on a train, this absolute belter had me bopping my head!
‘High Hopes, Low Expectations’, is only the third release this year from the funky fresh band birthed from the sleepy Swedish city Gothenburg. The tune does feel very much like a real summer banger, something I can imagine booming out of a speaker while you’re drinking cider at the park.
It really is everything that any funky pop song should be. Every single part has been practised, polished and performed to absolute perfection to get to this final product.
High quality production on a real catchy tune that’s a ready made summer banger. ‘High Hopes, Low Expectations’ is one of those rare songs that I really don’t imagine anyone would find at all offensive to listen to. Quite brilliant.
