The Backfires release ‘Replace It All’ as a powerful preview of their forthcoming debut album, ‘This Is Not An Exit‘, due to be released January 24th 2025.
Drenched in fuzzy, new wave inspired guitar tones, the track pulses with urgency and emotion, capturing a longing to escape the weight of the past. “’Replace It All’ is about surrendering yourself to someone else and letting them save you from your past” guitarist Harry Reprecht explains. “It’s how it feels to be lost at the end of the world, caught in between love and fear, needing to be rescued.” The Backfires have created a solid foundation of their sound that is instantly recognisable with their energetic and powerful guitars, this song, along with other singles ‘Turn Off The Lights’, ‘Brighter Lights’ and ‘Dressed For A Funeral’ creates a real excitement for their upcoming album that is sure to cement their place in the indie rock scene.
The band are making themselves known both sides of the Atlantic, with their roots in London’s music scene and now their home in New York they’ve created a strong following from their powerful sound and their support tours with Courteeners and The Mysterines.
