Another band contributing to the brilliant new age of punk music is Sugarstone. A Manchester based four-piece who are more than definitely on the rise after previously receiving support from the like of Radio X’s John Kennedy.
Their latest track ‘Author Is Now Dead’ is quite simply brilliant. Brought in by the pristinely produced vocal and the drums behind it, the track is instantly likeable in every sense. With some monster sounding synths and all those huge bassy undertones backed up by the rhythmic sensibility of the vocals in this track, it just sort of instantly grabs your ears and doesn’t let go.
After a successful 2022 I’d also really back these guys for another great year and will really be looking forward to any new music they release in the coming years.
