Somehow, somewhere in my brain, I feel like a teenager again instantly listening to this track. ‘Try Not To Notice’ displays the sound of a very well established and matured musician from the back of the track to the front.
Qwiet Type is an artist working out of Florida, USA and honestly I feel honoured that on this side of the pond I get to write about this piece of music. ‘Try Not To Notice’ is a song which is constantly building on the section before and always expanding in sonic possibilities. It almost feels like if this song were to go on forever and keep adding new parts I’d never get bored!
At a modest 2 minutes and 30 seconds long, you’d have thought the song would come across as too short and not fully deliver its message but somehow, it does not fail at all to get any of its message across. This song doesn’t actually feel like it needs to be any longer and honestly has blown me away.
With some incredible Alternative Rock sounds and a quite brilliant understanding of music Qwiet Type has really created a piece of art with this latest song and I’m sure there will be even more where this one has come from. Someone who is clearly quite accomplished in his local music scene and across multiple areas, I really do look forward to hearing more from Qwiet Type in the future. An absolute pleasure to have heard this song.
