A song which seems somewhat harrowing in lyrical content but says all that it needs to say.
‘London’ by Pynch is a song which discusses the housing crisis and current economic state of the UK’s capital. In a time where it can be hard to discuss such issues, these guys have somehow managed to perfectly frame the problems that are currently being faced in their home city.
This song is made even better by the sheer quality of the mix, the instruments sort of all sit where they need to leaving plenty of space for that storytelling vocal. There’s a clear amount of pain in the song and it’s delivered perfectly by the way the vocal is performed and produced.
Although melodicism isn’t the most prevalent feature in this track, there’s something about it that’s really quite catchy. An anthemic nature, if you will, that makes this track a real catch on the ears.
