Favourites at this years Reading and Leeds festival with the biggest attendance of the weekend at the BBC introducing stage, Only The Poets are back and this time with a song that is already a crowd favourite before the release.
This is a band that I’m yet to hear a bad song from, ‘Looking At You’ is just another of those on the list that I love. These lads just have a habit of writing some of the catchiest and bounciest songs I ever come across when I’m hearing any new music. To be honest, a lot of what I hear from Only The Poets often comes across like a band who have been making music for years longer than they have.
Once again the production aspects of this track do the tune even more justice as it comes through with the perfectly polished pop sound as usual.
Alongside this, the vocal performance is seamless once again. One of my favourite voices in the industry right now, and one that always seems to be singing an ear worm of a melody!
As always with Only The Poets, I can’t find a bad word to say about this release. Just unbelievable that any band can consistently release music this great.
