After a childhood growing up in Worcestershire and then Hong Kong, Ale Hopkins has certainly seen a lot in his young life, a factor which always helps towards writing some great lyrics. Which is exactly what Alex has done here with his latest single ‘Life Keeps Going’.
After huge support from BBC Radio with a spin on Gemma Bradley’s show on BBC Radio 1 and a spot as Artist of the Week for Hereford and Worcester at the start of the year, Alex has pushed on and released another song which, I would say, is yet another radio ready banger. Definitely one I can imagine playing in cars as people are on their way to work in a morning.
Alex, who has clearly taken this success in his stride and used it to push himself on, has created an uplifting indie banger with this latest release. Life Keeps Going has so many features that could be picked apart one by one but I fear I’d probably end up writing a dissertation if I commented on everything.
Vocally, this track is a masterpiece. Alex doesn’t put one foot wrong and absolutely nails what is an unbelievably infectious melody. The vocal delivery contains so much power, whilst still being so clean and pristine. Alongside this, the guitars compliment the rest of the track so brilliantly, with a great sense of playing it’s own part whilst also contributing to the overall rhythm and feel of the song. Just brilliant.
Alex Hopkins, a young artist who is certainly making his impression upon many people, myself included with this latest release in a series of incredible work which the young indie rocker has released. I, along with many others I’m sure, already cannot wait to wrap my ears around Alex’s next body of work after this latest release. A songwriter with lyrical and melodic maturity way beyond his years.
