One of our favourite festivals, Liverpool Sound City has given us all some great news following their postponement of the festival until 25th – 27th September. The festival was due to take place on 1st – 3rd May in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, however they’re making sure nobody misses out on being able to see their favourite bands.

Sound City have announced their ‘Stay At Home’ festival taking place on Saturday 2nd May live on ‘Guest House’ from 12 midday to 10pm. The online festival features a lot of bands on the original lineup due to take place on the same date including The Wombats, Friendly Fires, Red Rum Club, Vistas, Stanleys, Courting and many more.

The stream will also feature all the other activities that Sound City is famous for besides just the incredible music. There will be in-conversations, masterclasses, wider arts & international artists from all over the world. This is what sets Sound City apart from other festivals of a similar size as they bring all different types of entertainment to the music-mad crowd.

The ‘Stay At Home’ festival is partnered with #SaveOurVenues, and you’ll be able to donate throughout the stream to help the UK’s much loved independent venues, many of which are located in Liverpool where the festival is based.

Sound City have said their aim is to be back at the end of September but for now “join us & tune in this Saturday completely free & please donate what you can to the #SaveOurVenues campaign and the artists taking part”.

To access the live stream you will need to create an account with ‘Guest House’, to do this you can start a free 60 day trial at guesthouselive.co.uk and are cancel anytime afterwards.
