The Nix rocked a sold out Deaf Institute with the very capable support of Circus and Maruja. Excited fans filled every crevice of the notorious venue, dancing and singing beneath The Nix sign which illuminated the crowd from the balcony. The show packed everything you would want from a sweaty indie/rock quintet; mosh pits, dancing arm in arm and bouncing as high as they could.

The Nix took to the stage with lead singer Nathan Shepherd adorning an eye catching red and black striped suit and stamping their authority as one of the best new bands currently in Manchester. The energy in the room was electric; from the band bouncing off each other on stage and playing what looked like their favourite performance to the crowd soaking it all up and living the moment in-front of the sweat drenched band.

Playing a mix of old and new, The Nix showed their progression as a band and are displaying very real signs of stepping out from amongst the Manchester scene and into a league of their own. Old favourite ‘Fear Of Change’ had the crowd reliving past memories of seeing the Stockport band performing some fantastic shows; where as latest single ‘Space Between’ shows have far the band have grown.

The ‘Space Between’ EP is released on Monday 22nd January, and will be a very powerful statement from The Nix; showcasing the talent this band posses in abundance. With up-coming shows in Manchester, Huddersfield, Sheffield and further afield, The Nix are a band you need to put on your must watch list.
