Saytr Play announced they would play their biggest Manchester headline to date, on Friday 22nd February at Gorilla in Manchester for Manchester based promotion company ‘Scruff Of The Neck’. This is a huge step up for Saytr Play, we caught up with frontman Fred Farrell as he put some time aside to answer a few questions we had on the lead up to his huge homecoming gig! Here is what he had to say:

How are you and the rest of the band feeling about playing Gorilla this week?
We are absolutely itching to get on that stage mate! Playing live together is why we started this band and the atmosphere at our headline shows so far has been pure electric, so bring on Gorilla.

The response for Bang Average has been insane, has it given you a confidence boost for the gig?
Yes, we’re over the moon with the response and can’t thank everyone enough for getting behind it. Things have really stepped up a level with this single, it’s a proud moment for all 5 of us. In terms of a confidence boost though, we don’t really think about online stats. We just try and makes sure every live performance is better than the last. It’s all about ‘the show’ for us.

Do you have any surprises up your sleeve for Friday?
I guess you’ll find out on Friday.

Saytr Play will be joined by special guests ‘The Zangwills’ & ‘The Northern Threads’. Tickets are still available online for £8. This gig could be a glimpse of the bright future ahead for Saytr Play; this is a night not to be missed!
