If camping out in a muddy field and the general lack of showers doesn’t appeal to you then maybe a more metropolitan festival like Tramlines is what you’re looking for. Tramlines has all the great things we love about festivals like the incredible music and atmosphere you can only get at outdoor shows but without waking up rough in a boiling hot / underwater tent.

Tramlines is located at Hillsborough Park in Sheffield and after a year off due to Covid-19 it will be returning on the 23rd – 25th July 2021. The long awaited return has given time for the festival to create a brilliant lineup across their 5 stages: Nulty’s Main Stage, T’Other Stage, The Leadmill Stage, Library Stage and the family friendly Into The Trees area.

This year they have put out an incredible lineup with headliners The Streets, Royal Blood and Richard Ashcroft being accompanied by The Kooks, DMA’S, Blossoms, Dizzie Rascal and Tom Walker at the top of the bill. Further done the list you’ll come across old favourites and breakthrough acts like Jake Bugg, The Pigeon Detectives, The Sherlocks, Everything Everything, The Fratellis and Sundara Karma. The bands i’m most excited about and I believe will be taking all the surprise headlines are acts like Alfie Templeman, The Blinders, Red Rum Club, Vista, Abbie Ozard, The Lathums, The Reytons, The Snuts, Lottery Winners and Sheafs amongst a whole host of other incredible acts performing across the weekend.

The “Best Metropolitan Festival” (UK Festival Awards 2019) is certainly one that you need to add to your festival list. You can’t camp here but they do offer accommodation nearby which will make for a better weekend for those that like to get some sleep and refresh before going again the following day.
