Neighbourhood Weekender returns to Victoria Park in Warrington this weekend for its 5th festival! Saturday 27th May will be headlined by Manchester legend Paul Heaton who will be joined by special guest Rianne Downey. Sunday 28th May will see Pulp return to Warrington for the first time since their last performance at Victoria Park back in 1996.
Alongside this years incredible headliners, there will be a whole host of names performing across the weekend including The Kooks, The Wombats, Ocean Colour Scene, Jamie Webster, Sugababes, The Enemy, Reverend And The Makers, Inspiral Carpets, Self Esteem, Anne-Marie, Sea Girls, Everything Everything, Kula Shaker & many more.
If you are planning on heading down to Neighbourhood Weekender, here are some live acts we think you need to watch this weekend!
Corella
Manchester’s very own Corella will headline the Viola Beach stage on Sunday, you won’t want to miss the catchy melodic hooks and reminiscent lyrics this indie quartet has to offer. Corella have just announced their biggest UK tour for later this year with a huge headline show at Manchester Academy 2! It won’t be long until we see Corella gracing the main stage, so make sure you catch their set.
Lottery Winners
Heading to the festival off the back of their UK number 1 album ‘Anxiety Replacement Therapy’, The Lottery Winners are arguably one of the best rising acts on this year’s lineup, the perfect festival band for a Sunday afternoon as they play The Big Top. Expect a fun filled set from The Lottery Winners with feel good anthems alongside some top notch banter and crowd participation.
Reignmaker
Make sure you head down early on Saturday to watch up and coming Liverpool indie rockers Reignmaker open the Viola Beach stage. This band have been making waves on the live music scene in their hometown of Liverpool, playing several sold out shows. This will be a real ‘I was there’ moment in a few years time when Reignmaker are playing sold out shows across the country.
Stanleys
Wigan band Stanleys are very familiar to us here at The Pentatonic, having played shows for us in their early days as a band. We are proud to see Stanleys on the lineup for this years Neighbourhood Weekender. We can not recommend this band enough, make sure you catch their set on the Viola Beach stage at 5:10pm on Saturday.
What a weekend this is going to be, non-stop live music across 3 stages alongside festival favourites The Neighbourhood Inn, The Cornershop, The Library Silent Disco and much more.
