___________________________

Fionnuala Bradbury is a singer songwriter from Manchester. Her sound is inspired by the local folk scene she grew up in, and the jazz she found a love for later on. She recently completed her master’s in Archaeology up in Newcastle, and although she misses the Northeast coast and student excavations, she has returned to Manchester to get involved again with the busy live music scene.

Fionnuala is lucky enough to be from a musical family, and she studied classical piano and violin for most of her life. Her part-Irish heritage led her to play folk tunes on the fiddle, learn traditional folk songs from Ríoghnach Connolly, and enjoy Manchester’s plentiful trad sessions. Her recordings of traditional Irish folk songs, made with the help of Mike McGoldrick, have been played on BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Radio 2.
