South Asian Australian artist TUSHAR has released his sophomore EP, ‘Feels Like A Start‘. A vibrant, feel good collection, infused with playful melodies and heartfelt charm. From jangly guitars to irresistible rhythm, it’s clear TUSHAR thrives in crafting music that is relatable and uplifting.
“Creating Feels Like A Start was such a fun and personal journey for me,” TUSHAR shares. “With ‘Tonight’, we wanted to capture those hilariously awkward moments we’ve all had—the kind of late-night calls you cringe at later but can’t help but laugh about. This EP is all about finding joy and humour in life’s little moments, and I hope it brings people a sense of happiness and connection.”
Early singles ‘Bloodshot Eyes’, ‘Peaches And Wine’ and title track ‘Feels Like A Start’ set the scene for the EP’s release with TUSHAR’s infectious sound, reminiscent of Two Door Cinema Club and Dayglow. What sets ‘Feels Like A Start’ apart is its ability to balance playful storytelling with polished production, thanks to collaborators Benny Tamblyn and producer Mario Spate (Elsy Wameyo, Megan Washington, MANE). Recorded between Danger Deer Studios and Benny’s home studio in Adelaide, the EP radiates a carefree warmth while maintaining sharp, professional edges.
Since forming in 2021, TUSHAR has played notable stages like SXSW Austin, New New Fest Dallas, Scouted Adelaide, and NYE On The Hill, Victoria.Beyond creating infectious tunes, TUSHAR is also a passionate advocate for the South Asian music community. Committed to fostering inclusivity, he champions greater representation for diverse voices within the Australian music scene.
