Pale Moon’s latest album, ‘Carpets, Cables and Sweaty Hearts’, marks the coming of age and evolution of the Icelandic indie duo and they find new inspiration from their new home in Spain. The album showcases the eclectic background of Árni Gudjonsson and Nata Sushchenko. weaving their influences from the Icelandic music scenes and poetic artistry.
The album has a raw authenticity and playful charm, demonstrated by the energetic lead single ‘Spaghetti’, which has a vintage yet modern indie vibe. Nata’s dreamy and whimsical vocals and humorous undertones, couples with Árni’s soft and soothing jazz and classical expertise, create a nostalgic and refreshingly unique soundscape. Recorded at Ground Studios in Girona, with contributions from Icelandic and Catalan musicians helps to create the evolution from the roots to a more cultures and diverse sound.
