Today marks the start of Y Not Festival, with some pride to reclaim from last years disaster the festival in Derbyshire has made a great start with their incredible line up. Y Not Festival has a bit of everything and it’s best to wander around and immerse yourself in all the tents and acts to get the full experience; but here is our top tips so you don’t miss anything.

Ease yourself into the weekend tonight with Reverend and the Makers and Razorlight before the real party begins. On Friday get to The Allotment tent where This Feeling are handling proceedings with an incredible line up for the full weekend. Friday sees Generation and Trampolene playing on this stage. The Quarry Stage plays host to The Time Sellers, Vega Bay and perhaps the funniest acts you’ll see all weekend – The Lancashire Hotpots.

The Allotment is the place to spend most of Saturday as you’ll be able to see Voodoos, Cleargreen, Wulfman Fury, Shambolics and Jordan Allen pack the tent out before Brit Pop inspired band Vida headline the tent. The Quarry Stage starts early with Ashfields, Paris Youth Foundation and Tom Grennan playing their throughout the day.

On Sunday you’ll see one of the best live bands, Red Rum Club, playing alongside their new label mates No Hot Ashes and other incredible acts like The Jjohns and Proletariat before you close the festival reliving your childhood and dancing along to The Wombats and Jamiroquai.
