Liverpool Sound City returns to the city for it’s 12th edition after the festival sold out this year. Returning to the iconic Baltic Triangle on Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th May 2019, Sound City have revealed the first 20 artists. The first headliners announced include Loyle Carner and Mabel, with Louis Berry, The Magic Gang and many more to come.

Sound City is all about the emerging talent and is set to showcase 100s of the very best emerging bands, artists and performers from across the world and closer to home. The list of bands already revealed demonstrate the high calibre of talent this festival attracts with performances from local bands like SPINN, and Red Rum Club. This year saw Red Rum Club headline the Baltic Market with the longest queue of the weekend stretching down the street; by far the stand out performance of the weekend.

Also announced are Scottish Indie-Rock Vistas. Rapidly becoming a festival favourite Vistas always pull a large crowd and their catchy chorus’ are everything you want to hear during festival season. Also featured in the first announcement are (A-Z): Alligator, Benin City, Cousin Kula, Dancing on Table, Dayo Bello, Dot, Emily Burns, Giant Rooks, Goodies, Harry Miller, Heavy Lungs, Indigo Lo, Jvck James, Molly Rainford, Monks, Our Girl, Roman Lewis, Ryan McMullan, Saltwater Sun, Sophie and the Giants, SPQR, Tamu Massif and Tracky.

The festival weekend will start with the Sound City+ conference on Friday 3rd May, featuring a full day of illuminating, engaging and inspiring keynote speeches, interviews, roundtable debates, workshops, business meetings and much more at Liverpool’s historic Cunard Building. This will be followed by two incredible days of music packed into the perfect setting of the Baltic Triangle.

Tickets went on a sale at 10am today, make sure you get yours early and don’t miss out as it is bound to sell out as it did this year.
