Chase Atlantic are an exciting new Alternative-Pop/R&B outfit who have just unveiled their new EP Part Two. The Australian-born, LA-based trio, comprising of brothers Mitchel and Clinton Cave and their friend Christian Anthony, have produced, played and recorded all of their songs giving their music it’s own unique twist, taking inspiration from a whole variety of genres.

Part Two takes notable inspirations from bands like The 1975, Tame Impala and The Neighbourhood, through the use of 80’s sounding instrumentals, such as the saxophone on ‘Cassie’ (which was played and recorded by the outfit themselves). Furthermore, Chase Atlantic  flawlessly added unsettling bass lines along with anthemic beats and stylized auto-tuned vocals similar to the likes of Travis Scott’s warped vocal effects and Kanye West’s chilling synths and distorted electro-pop beats used on ‘808s & Heartbreak’.

It is clear to see that Chase Atlantic are certainly not afraid to experiment to develop their own unique sound, and this is shown throughout their most recent projects Part One and Part Two. These two EPs incorporate many different styles; mainly alternative-pop, electro-pop and R&B. It is definitely exciting for their fans as they don’t know what to expect to hear next from the trio, but what is certain is it will be something interesting and unique.
